Promotion Reflects Growth at InterCommunity

InterCommunity is proud to announce that Tracey Decker has been promoted to Vice President of Integrated Health Services.  Tracey joined InterCommunity in February of 2014 to lead the movement of integrated care throughout the organization.  Under Tracey’s leadership of primary care services, InterCommunity became a Federally Qualified Health Center Look Alike (FQHC-LA) in 2015.  This designation allows InterCommunity to provide quality health care services to all members in the community, regardless of their ability to pay.

Over the past 18 months, InterCommunity’s Primary Care Division has had staggering growth.  Its community health center, located at 281 Main Street in East Hartford, recently underwent major renovations resulting in a fully equipped, state-of-the-art primary care suite with six additional exam rooms.

The number of primary care patients has grown from 300 to over 3,000, and a second location for primary care services has just opened in Hartford at 16 Coventry Street.

Tracey will continue to work with InterCommunity’s Medical Directors and the Executive Leadership Team to guide the organization through the federal application to gain full FQHC status.
