Kim Bio

Kimberly L. Beauregard, LCSW, is the President and Chief Executive Officer of InterCommunity Healthcare Inc. InterCommunity is a nonprofit community health center for the federal government and a local mental health authority for the State of CT . IC operates out of 18 locations in the greater Hartford region. Under Kim’s leadership, InterCommunity has become known as an innovator in healthcare for its integration of primary care, behavioral health and addiction recovery services. The organization has successfully expanded to include comprehensive children’s services and also operates ten school based health centers; 10 in the Town of East Hartford and one in Manchester. In 2023, InterCommunity was named a Top Workplace by its staff through the Hartford Courant for the thirteenth consecutive year, the only community health center in Connecticut to win this award for 13 years straight. Kim has transformed the agency into one that is ahead of the curve in developing new services and programs that embrace cultural diversity and recovery.


Kim is a licensed clinical social worker and has over 40 years of distinguished service in the delivery of behavioral health services in direct care and administration. Before assuming the position of President and CEO of InterCommunity in 2003, she spent most of her career working with adults with persistent and prolonged mental illness and substance abuse disorders. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work, a Master’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Urban Studies. 


Kim was the 2013 recipient of Charter Oak State College’s annual honorary degree, Doctor of Humane Letters. She has been recognized over and over for utilizing best practice models and clinical improved outcomes through state and national awards and recognition. Two of the awards include Hartford Business Journal's Health Care Hero – Achievements in Health Care Innovation 2010, and National Dorland Health's Top People In Health Care. Kim was named a 2017 Women in Business Award winner by the Hartford Business Journal. In 2021, the Hartford Business Journal also recognized Kim with a “Lifetime Achievement Award”. Kim is most proud of being a woman in long term recovery from substances and is grateful to be able to bring her experience, strength and hope to this important work.
