Trisha Bio

Trisha Orozco is a licensed clinical social worker with over 30 years of experience in behavioral health service delivery and seven years’ experience in health care administration. She has led multidisciplinary teams of nurse practitioners, behavioral health clinicians, and administrative support staff. Tricia is responsible for championing innovation and implementation of strategic initiatives. Beyond overseeing the daily operations of Intercommunity's School-Based Health Centers (SBHCs), Tricia leads both agency-wide and department-specific strategic planning, systems assessment, and initiative implementation. She is also responsible for ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations and acts as a liaison to external stakeholders. 


Before her role as Vice President of Strategic Implementation, Tricia served as Director of School-Based Health Centers and Director of Practice Management. Her responsibilities included but were not limited to: overseeing the programmatic expansion of school-based health and federally qualified community health centers, supervision of a multidisciplinary team of integrated health care professionals, coordinator of a vaccines for children program for school-based health centers, youth advocacy, budget management and review, data analysis, strategic planning, developing strong partnerships with community stakeholders, legislative advocacy, and implementation of integrated health service delivery. 


Tricia has extensive experience in leadership development, strategic planning, programmatic development, and program expansion. She is an active member of the communities in which she lives and works, evidenced by the various nonprofit organizations and advisory boards on which she serves. Tricia is an Executive Board member of the Connecticut Association of School-Based Health Centers, the Connecticut State School-Based Health Center Advisory Board, and The Tobacco and Health Trust Fund Board.
