InterCommunity Celebrates Successful Ribbon-Cutting for Expanded Health Facility

InterCommunity proudly marked a milestone in community health with a successful ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the expansion of our primary and behavioral health care facilities at 40 Coventry Street in Hartford’s North End. The event, held on March 3, 2025, drew a strong turnout, including several media representatives, community leaders, and key stakeholders.

The expansion was made possible by $1.8 million in Congressionally directed funding secured in 2023, aimed at increasing access to essential health services and reducing disparities in the community. U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, Hartford Mayor Arunan Arulampalam, and InterCommunity President and CEO Kimberly L. Beauregard were among the featured speakers, emphasizing the impact of this initiative on local residents.

“This expansion ensures that more residents in the North End of Hartford have access to the care they need and deserve,” said Senator Blumenthal. “Investing in health care infrastructure strengthens our communities and improves lives.”

Kimberly L. Beauregard highlighted the immediate benefits of the expansion, including the ability to serve 2,000 additional individuals with same-day access to sick and well visits, vaccines, individual and group therapy, addiction recovery services, and a full range of primary care and behavioral health support. “We are thrilled to welcome more patients and expand our impact,” said Beauregard. “This achievement reflects the commitment of our team and the support of our leaders.”

Following the ceremony, attendees toured the newly expanded facilities, gaining insight into the improved resources available to the community. InterCommunity remains dedicated to its mission of providing high-quality, accessible health care and we look forward to continuing our work in the community.
