National Health Center Week Events a Success!

The heat and rain did not ruin InterCommunity’s two celebrations on August 10 and 11 in Hartford and East Hartford.  In Hartford at 16 Coventry Street, folks were treated to delicious tacos from  Taco Pacifico  Food Truck and refreshing Italian ice from  Chet’s Italian Ice. Those who participated in a health screening received a voucher for free fruits and vegetables from the nearby North End Farmers’ Market. Information on InterCommunity’s health care services was shared with those who came by.

InterCommunity continued its celebration of National Health Center Week at its East Hartford health center on Thursday, August 11th. Courtney from 95.7 KISS FM was there to greet people and give out prizes. Health screenings were done and faces were painted. People were treated to  Chet’s Italian Ice  – a perfect treat on a hot summer day! Employees from a local business -East Hartford’s  D’Esopo Funeral Chapel  – generously donated and grilled hot dogs and hamburgers for attendees.
